To be successful, malware and other security exploits frequently leverage the powers of highly privileged Windows user accounts. It's not entirely a shock, then, that a new report reveals that 86 percent of all Windows security threats patched in 2015 would have been stopped or rendered toothless if they had attacked users who were using limited, rather than administrator, accounts, and hence lacked the power to install, modify or delete software.

The 2015 Microsoft Vulnerabilities Study by Manchester, England-based enterprise-security provider Avecto, released Tuesday (Feb. 2),  showed that 85 percent of remote-code-execution bugs (some of the most dangerous flaws) detailed in Microsoft's monthly Patch Tuesday reports would be nullified if the Windows active user did not have administrative rights. (The same company reached similar conclusions two years ago.)

Microsoft Office and Windows 10 would also be much safer, as 82 percent of the security flaws would be blocked. Users with limited, a.k.a. "regular" accounts would have been protected from a whopping 99.5 percent of Internet Explorer vulnerabilities on all platforms, and 100 percent of Microsoft Edge security flaws in Windows 10.

We advise all Windows users to operate their PCs primarily from regular/limited accounts, and to sign into administrative accounts only when they need to install, remove or update software. The default account that ships on most Windows computers is an admin account, so you'll need to create additional, regular accounts. OS X and Linux users would also be wise to use non-administrative accounts for their daily activity, but fewer exploits exist overall on those platforms.

Here are step-by-step instructions for how to set up a limited-privilege user account in Windows 10.

How to Create Limited-Privilege User Accounts in Windows 10

1. Tap the Windows icon.

2. Select Settings.

3. Tap Accounts.

4. Select Family & other users.

5. Tap "Add someone else to this PC."

6. Select "I don't have this person's sign-in information."

7. Select "Add a user without a Microsoft account."

8. Enter a username, type the account's password twice, enter a clue and select Next.

9. Tap the Windows icon.

10. Select the User icon at the upper left corner of the Start menu.

11. Select the new user. You'll then sign into your account with your password from step 8.

You're now using a non-Administrator account!

How can I install Whatsapp on my computer? 

WhatsApp can be used right from your desktop without a browser. To

 install WhatsApp on your computer, access our website from your 

computer’s browser, download it via the Apple App Store or the 

Microsoft Store. WhatsApp can only be installed on your computer 

if your operating system is Windows 8.1 (or newer) or Mac OSX 10.9

 (or newer). For all other operating systems, you may use WhatsApp 

on your browser here.

To install on Windows 8.1+ 

1. On your computer’s browser, navigate to the download page 
2. to download the .exe file.
3. Once the download is complete, open WhatsApp.exe to install 
4. WhatsApp on your computer.
5. When the install is complete, launch WhatsApp on your computer
   and scan the QR code to log in.

To install on Mac OSX 10.9+

1. On your computer’s browser, navigate to the download page
   to download the .zip file.
2. Once the download is complete, open the zip file to run
   WhatsApp.app.
3. On your first install, the application will prompt if you would
    like to add WhatsApp to your Applications folder and your
   desktop dock.
4. When the install is complete, launch WhatsApp on your computer
   and scan the QR code to log in.

1. Search "hard disk partitions" at the Start Menu or Search tool. Enter into the

Windows 10 Disk Management interface.

2.Right-click hard disk and select "Shrink Volume".

Enter the amount of space you want to shrink in MB as shown below then 

click on the Shrink button.

3.Right-click on the unallocated space and select “New Simple Volume”.

4. Enter New Simple Volume Wizard interface by clicking Next and specify 

volume size.

5. Assign Drive Letter or Path, then format the partition into default file 

system NTFS. Click Finish to complete creating a new partition in Windows 10.

If you have issues when you try to sign in with your Apple ID password, use these steps to reset it and regain access to your account.

Your Apple ID is the account that you use for everything you do with Apple, like when you shop the iTunes Store, sign in to iCloud, buy an app, and more. To reset your password, you need to know the email address for your Apple ID. Don't know the email address for your Apple ID?

Reset your password

Instructions vary based on the type of security that you use for your Apple ID. Choose the type that you use:

Email, password, and
security questions

Two-factor authentication

Email, password, and security questions

1. Go to your Apple ID account page and click "Forgot Apple ID or password." If asked to confirm your phone number, use steps for two-factor authentication instead.
2. Enter your Apple ID. Did you forget your Apple ID?
3. Select the option to reset your password, then choose Continue.
4. Choose how to reset your password:
   • To answer your security questions, select "Answer security questions" and follow the rest of the steps.
   • To get email instead, select "Get an email." To reset your password, use the email that we send to your primary or rescue email address. Didn't get the email?
   • If asked for a Recovery Key, use the steps for two-factor authentication or two-step verificationinstead.

After you reset your password, you'll be asked to sign in again with your new password. You also might need to update your password in Settings on your devices.
 

Two-factor authentication

If you have two-factor authentication enabled for your Apple ID, you can reset your password from any trusted iPhone, iPad, Pod touch, or Mac with a password or passcode that's enabled. Can't access any of your devices?

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

1. Make sure that your device has iOS 10 or later.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Tap [your name] > Password & Security > Change Password, then follow the onscreen steps to update your password. For iOS 10.2 or earlier, tap iCloud > [your name] > Password & Security > Change Password, then follow the onscreen steps.
   

Need help with the previous step? You might not be signed in to iCloud. Open Settings and tap "Sign in to your [device]" > "Don’t have an Apple ID or forgot it," then follow the onscreen steps. For iOS 10.2 or earlier, tap iCloud > Forgot Apple ID or Password, then follow the onscreen steps.

On your Mac

1. Go to Apple menu > System Preferences, then click iCloud.
2. Choose Account Details. 
3. If you're asked to enter your Apple ID password, click "Forgot Apple ID or password" and follow the onscreen instructions. You can skip the final steps below.
4. Click Security > Reset Password. Before you can reset your Apple ID password, you'll be required to enter the password used to unlock your Mac.

Need help with these steps? You might not be signed in to iCloud. Go to Apple menu > System Preferences, then click iCloud. Click "Forgot Apple ID or password" and follow the onscreen steps.

Use a recovery key

If you updated your Apple ID from two-step verification to two-factor authentication in iOS 11 and later, or macOS High Sierra and later, and you have a recovery key, you can use the recovery key to help reset your password.

If you can't access any of your devices

Borrow a friend or family member’s iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and follow these steps:

1. Open the Find My iPhone app.
2. When a Sign In screen appears, make sure the Apple ID field is empty. If you see someone else's user name, erase it.
3. Tap Forgot Apple ID or Password, then follow the onscreen steps.

Don't see a Sign In screen? Tap Sign Out. After you sign out, make sure the Apple ID field is empty. Then tap Forgot Apple ID or Password, and follow the onscreen steps.

Did you try the previous steps but you still need help? You can still reset your password and regain access to your account with account recovery. 

Two-step verification

1. Go to your Apple ID account page and click "Forgot Apple ID or password." If asked to confirm your phone number, use steps for two-factor authentication instead.
2. Enter your Apple ID, select the option to reset your password, then choose Continue. Did you forget your Apple ID?
3. Enter your Recovery Key for two-step verification.*
4. Choose a trusted device.* We'll send your device a verification code.
5. Enter the verification code.
6. Create a new password, then select Reset Password.

After you reset your password, you'll be asked to sign in again with your new password. You also might need to update your password in Settings on your devices.

* If you permanently lost your Recovery Key or access to your trusted device, you can't change your password.
